Fakamalo mai — Welcome

Johnny “Toa” Moa

Protector by trade. Mentor by calling. Tongan by blood.

In Tongan, toa means warrior — brave, steady, unshaken. It's the name Johnny Moa has carried his whole life, and the standard he holds himself to in every room he walks into.

Based in Salt Lake City, Johnny is an executive protection specialist who has spent his career standing between the people who matter and the threats they never see coming. Off the clock, he's something else entirely: a mentor who walks troubled youth and men coming home from incarceration back into a life worth building — because someone once did the same for him.

Who Is Johnny Moa

The Man Behind the Name

Johnny Toa Moa was raised on the values that hold every Tongan family together: fatongia — duty to the people who depend on you — and faka'apa'apa — respect, earned and given. Those two words explain almost everything about how he lives.

By profession, Johnny works in the personal security and executive protection industry, providing close protection for clients who need someone they can trust completely — someone who reads a room before it becomes a problem, and who treats discretion as a form of respect.

Outside of protection work, Johnny is building in the wellness and regenerative health space. He's a founder connected to Peptides.supply, and works in the stem cell space, supplying stem-cell based products to the tattoo industry — an unexpected but growing intersection of body art, recovery, and cellular wellness.

And beyond both of those careers is the work Johnny says matters most: showing up for young people and formerly incarcerated men who are trying to find their way back — the same way people once showed up for him.

“Protection isn't just a job I do for other people. It's how I live — for my family, for the kids I mentor, and for the men trying to come home and stay home.”

Ko e Hingoa — The Name

Three Letters. One Fatongia.

Every mark in these letters is drawn from Tongan tatatau — the patterns that carry a family's story. J. T. M. A name, a calling, and a bloodline.

The letter J in Tongan tatatau linework — Johnny

J — Johnny

The man. The one who shows up — for clients who trust him with their lives, for his family, and for every young person and returning man the world stopped calling back.

The letter T in Tongan tatatau linework — Toa, warrior

T — Toa

Warrior. In Tongan, toa means brave, steady, unshaken — the name he has carried his whole life and the standard he answers to in every room he walks into.

The letter M in Tongan tatatau linework — Moa, the family name

M — Moa

The family name. Fatongia — duty to the people who depend on you. Carried for his father before him, his children after him, and always for Mosa'ati.

Ventures — Regenerative Wellness

Building in Regenerative Wellness

Johnny's second lane is in the wellness and biotech space, where recovery, performance, and body art intersect in ways most people never expect.

He works in the stem cell industry, supplying stem-cell-based products to professionals in the tattoo industry — supporting skin health and recovery for an audience that spends its career pushing the body's limits.

Johnny is also a founder behind Peptides.supply, focused on peptide-based products for recovery and performance. It's a natural extension of everything he already believes about the body: that it can be protected, repaired, and rebuilt — the same philosophy he brings to protecting people and mentoring them back to their feet.

Mentorship — Second Chances

Second Chances Aren't Given. They're Built.

This is the work Johnny doesn't get paid for and won't stop doing.

Johnny mentors troubled youth and men coming out of incarceration — helping them get out, stay out, and build a life on the other side of it. It's not a program with a script. It's phone calls at odd hours, rides to job interviews, hard conversations, and showing up consistently for people the rest of the world gave up on.

His approach is simple: treat people like they're already the man they're trying to become, and hold them to it with love. In Tongan culture, no one carries their burdens alone — tauhi vaha'a, the relationships that hold a community together, come first. Johnny brings that same principle to every young person and every returning citizen he mentors.

  • Guiding at-risk and troubled youth away from the paths that lead to prison
  • Walking alongside men recently released from incarceration as they reenter society
  • Practical support — accountability, direction, and real relationship, not lectures
  • Building a circle of trust for people who've rarely had one

“I'm not trying to save anybody. I'm just trying to be the person somebody needed when I was coming up — and I was lucky enough to have.”

In Loving Memory

In Loving Memory of Mosa'ati Moa

Salt Lake City, Utah

This page exists because Mosa'ati's name deserves to be spoken with love, not just searched for out of grief.

On February 6th, Johnny lost his son, Mosa'ati Moa, in a carbon monoxide incident that should never have happened. No words make sense of that kind of loss. What Johnny holds onto is this: everything he does now — protecting the people in front of him, mentoring young people away from danger, and building something meaningful for his family — carries Mosa'ati with him.

If Mosa'ati's story reaches anyone reading this: check your carbon monoxide detectors. Hold the people you love a little closer tonight. And if you're a young person Johnny is walking alongside — know that his commitment to you is, in part, a promise made in his son's name.

Fofola e fala kae fai e kavenga — the mat is spread and the work continues. Mosa'ati is loved, missed, and never far from the work being done in this house.
